Intro comments on these books

In this series of posts, I attempt to describe some of the ideas that emerge from the channeling sessions recorded in the books known as the Ra Contact material (aka the Law of One) published in the 1980s. In these channeling sessions, one of the researchers would go into a deep trance and allow herself to be inhabited by an entity that called itself Ra. That entity then spoke through her while she was in a trance state. The Ra material is the written transcription of these channeling sessions. These were not your typical channeling sessions, but did they really occur as described in these books? Or could these books be the product of an Intelligence Agency running some psychological operation for any number of possible reasons? But if this was a psy-op, there's no evidence it was ever exploited for any purpose. Or maybe this is just a collection of cool ideas that this research group wanted to insert into the zeitgeist so they concocted this channeling ruse in order to do so.

Regardless of the truth behind the source of this material, they present an intriguing framework of ideas that intersect with our world in interesting ways.
